Leatherback turtles are the world’s largest living Sea Turtle
Loggerhead Turtles are named for their large heads that support powerful jaw muscles, allowing them to crush hard-shelled prey. Leatherback turtles have delicate scissor like jaws & feeds on soft bodied animals like jellyfish.
Loggerhead turtles have low reproductive rate, as females lay an average of 4 egg clutches & then produce no eggs for 2-3 years.
Hawksbill turtles are named for their narrow, pointed beak & have a distinctive pattern of overlapping scales on their shells that form a serrated-look on the edges.
The Green Turtles graze on seagrasses & algae, which maintains the seagrass beds & makes them more productive. The Green Turtles migrate long distances between feeding grounds & beaches from where they hatch.
